Salkantay Trek to connect with Our Beginnings
In early August I will be leading a pilgrimage to the sacred Valley. The theme of the trip will be to connect with our Inka seed and our true selves. The highlight of the trip is camping at the base of Apu Salkantay ( known as the wild undomesticated feminine) and Apu Humantay. Many of the places we will visit will connect us to water and the beginning of life.
We begin our trip at the retreat center Illary Chaska , run by Karina Davelos Conchas and her family. It is located near Ollantambo where we can adjust to the altitude of Peru. The first few days of the trip will be day trips around the Sacred Valley,, Despacho ceremonies, and clearing with the element of water so that we can access our Inka seeds within our hearts.
For those of you new to the idea of the Inka seed, it is our essence that comes down as our life is created. This seed contains all the information of our gifts and our eternal selves and a drop of the mystery. All this is contained in a seed. This seed needs to be planted and watered for it to grow.
We will be giving our seeds a lot of life and growth by learning about how Pachakuti the very conscious leader of Peru centuries ago, brought ayni ( harmony and sacred reciprocity) to a land that was previously in chaos due to war and conquest.
Because everyone adjusts to altitude differently, there will be horses and help available for those that need it. For those athletically inclined, there will be a special hiking trip to Apu Veronica and the Inka ruins that only the locals visit, along with other trips to less well known sacred ceremonial sites.
If you’ve never been to Machu Picchu, and want to see this wonder of the world, or want to experience Ayahuasca there will also be some optional experiences available either before or after our pilgrimage.
Trip size is limited to 12 people. Please contact me for more information. Lorraine 831-206-9291
